hexis

a quiet habit journal for iPhone and Apple Watch

hexis is a minimal, ink-on-paper habit tracker. one mark a day — a tap, or the hours and pages you set yourself — one hexagon filled, streaks that forgive a rest day. a year of your practice on a single page, with hexis+.

hexis was called tally until august 2026 — same app, same developer. this site kept its old address through the change.

subscriptions

hexis+ is billed through your App Store account. to change or cancel a plan, open Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone. purchases can be restored on any device signed in to the same Apple ID, from settings inside the app. hexis+ is sold as a yearly or a weekly plan; the monthly plan and the one-time lifetime unlock are no longer sold, but are still honoured if you hold one. the full billing terms — renewal, the free trial on the yearly plan, switching plans, and how a price change is handled — are in the terms of use.

privacy

your journal is stored on your devices, with optional private iCloud sync for habits and related journal state. routines stay local. the app also sends a habit snapshot to your paired Apple Watch. there are no ads, tracking or developer-operated journal servers; where a version of hexis offers groups, a group is hosted in its creator’s own iCloud. Apple handles purchases, and RevenueCat, a purchase-verification service that receives an anonymous purchase record and no journal content, confirms whether a device has hexis+; reports received through the app and information you deliberately email to support are accessible to the developer. see the privacy policy for the full details, including backups and signatures.

groups

groups is a hexis+ feature that lets a few people keep one habit side by side. not every version of hexis has it — if your copy has no Groups tab, nothing in this section applies, and the app does not create or join shared groups.

where it is offered: each person needs a hexis+ entitlement and an iCloud account. new groups use private invitations, with no public feed or directory. a group is hosted in its creator’s own iCloud, so the developer cannot read or remove its names and marks. every member row offers report and block. blocking works offline and hides that person locally; it does not revoke their access. a report is written on your device and emailed to the developer by you — nothing uploads on its own, and it never goes into the group. saving one means it is waiting for you to send, not that anyone has read it. for urgent safety concerns, contact the appropriate local authorities. what a group shares is listed in the privacy policy, and the conduct rules are in the terms.

groups made in earlier TestFlight builds could be joined through a public invitation link. installing a later version does not change those — open the group and check Manage Access, or end it. see the note on earlier groups.
